The Goal

TateStudio were contacted by a media agency from London, for a short notice corporate photography project which required discretion and a quick turn-around.

Highlighting its commitment to year round value, no-nonsense car brand Dacia closed it's first ever pop-up store for one day only to make a statement against Black Friday and one-off savings.

Shoppers at Westfield Stratford, one of the UK’s biggest shopping centres, found the store closed on what was one of the busiest retail days of the year, with roughly 185,000 visitors visiting the shopping centre during Black Friday.

TateStudio were invited to come to London to shoot through the night once the shopping centre had closed. We were required to edit and send the images whilst on site to ensure readiness to go to the national press and the world of social media at 6am, in an attempt to go viral, emphasising Dacia's stance on the Black Friday deals.

The Result

The TateStudio team provided Dacia with 20 stock images that they could use for their viral campaign. The images were used in the following places, to name but a few:

  • The Sun website / newspaper
  • Dacia UK official website and social media accounts
  • The motortrader.com website
  • The motoringresearch.com website
  • The Sky News website

Overall the job was rated a success, with some very positive comments from the hiring agency with regards to the quality of the images, and the time taken to turn the project around with such limited information on the brief.
